Mr. Kuching 2008 Competitions

The Sarawak Bodybuilding Association (SBBA) will organised the annual Mr. Kuching Competition on the 14th June 2008 at the new Boulevard Shopping Mall, Kuching.

This time 18 muscleman will compete to represent Kuching to the Mr. Sarawak 2008 which will be held in Miri next month.

There will be eight categories — flyweight (below 60kg), bantamweight (60.1kg-65kg), lightweight (65.1kg- 0kg), welterweight (70.1kg-75kg), light middleweight (75.1kg-80kg), middleweight (80.1kg-85kg), light heavyweight (85.1kg-90kg) and heavyweight (above 90kg).

The weigh-in would be held on the 12 June 2008 at Kompleks Belia dan Sukan, Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi from 5pm to 6pm.

Sazali Samad is amongst the most successful bodybuilders in Malaysia. He has win various competitions locally and also international arena. A Sargeant in Royal Malaysia Police,he has been competing in bantamweight categories and now has making decision to compete in the lightweight categories.

Mr. Gim Rakyat 2007

Mr. Gym Rakyat which was held on 12 December 2007 was jointly organised by the National Fitness Councils and Kelab Sukan Gim Rakyat (KSRG). It was held at the Titiwangsa Stadium. This competition was one of the programme organised by the Malaysian government to promote the usage of Gim Rakyat (People's Gym) and also to increase the quality of services at Gim Rakyat.
